Blog post #2 over free book choice (Character blog)
Auden the main character, parents are divorced and she lived with her mom but she would have people over in the evenings and Auden would not be allowed to be around them. When she got to her dads house she liked the view of the beach right outside her bedroom in the house. When she got to her dads house she saw her Heidi her dads new wife sitting on the couch with her half sister Thisbe. She didn't see her dad much when she got there because he was in his office with the door shut and writing. But he would not even come out to help Heidi with Thisbe because she was crying non-stop. Then she felt bad for Heidi since she was with Thisbe the whole day trying to get her to stop crying so Auden went into Thisbe's room and gave Heidi a break and let her go get some rest. I admire Auden, I feel that she cared about Heidi when she went to give her a break to get some rest and told her that she would stay up with Thisbe and try to calm her down.

2nd Blog post My Mother's Keeper
In the book, Holly is growing up with a schizophrnic mother. Holly is sent to Texas with her Great Aunt. Everyone in the family is dennying it. As the years go on, she pushes for the sanity of her mother to get better. Trying to make her and her mothers relationship better, she deals with being judged the whole time. The time period is in the 20's throught the 40's. I would say her actions were justified in all levels. I don't think that she thought they were all completed to her. The past has for sure shapped her life to become a better daughter to her mother, and a better wife and mother. I feel like it shaped her to be a better person, she might have gone through a lot, but in the end it helped. I admire the courage of Holly! I could never go through something like that. I don't recall Holly reminding me like anyone, I would love to know someone like Holly though!

Summary over matched of what i read so far -Brandi Davis
In "Matched" by Ally Condie, Cassia lives in a world where Society has defined rules and events. She is challenged by her grandfather to open her eyes to see beyond what is generally considered acceptable. When she falls in love with a young man who is outside of Society's approval, she begins to understand what her grandfather is talking about. Cassia and her family arrive at City Hall for a special celebration. She is going to find out who she is supposed to spend the rest of her life with - her Match. Cassia's Match is in the room instead of in another City Hall, which is very unusual. It's her best friend, Xander. How I am experiencing the book so far is I got right into it and it didn't really take me long at all. Why you might ask? Because the way she wrote the book makes it so interesting and makes me want to keep reading to the point I cant stop! How I feel when reading is happy because it's a good book and I actually found a book I like and am interested in! I would for sure recommend this book to anyone it's a great book! :)

Summary for 1st one-third of Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
Auden's mom and dad were divorced, and she lived with her mom and she was a professor. Her mom would have other people from school over and they would be talking about things to do with school and her dad is remarried and his new wife had a baby, Thisbe. One day, Auden decided that she was going to go stay with her dad and his wife, Heidi, just to be somewhere different for once and she also wanted to see the beach that they lived by. When Auden walked into her dad's house she saw his new wife, Heidi, sitting on the couch with the baby screaming, while his dad was sitting in his office writing like he normally does. Then she decided she was hungry so she asked her dad what was for supper and he said he didn't know so he gave her money to get food at one of the stores, and he told her to go ask what Heidi wanted. When she asked her she said that she was going to make her a nice meal but she was too busy with Thisbe. When she got back she took her Heidi's food to her since the baby was still crying. After a while, she then heard Heidi crying with Thisbe because she was so tired and had been up with her for a long time, so Auden went back to Thisbe's room and told Heidi to go get some sleep and that she would take care of Thisbe for the rest of the night. The next day Auden's mom called and she was asking her how much her dad was helping with the new baby.
I think it is kind of weird how Auden's dad doesn't help his wife, Heidi, with the new baby and that he is just in his office most of the day writing things.
When I started reading this book I feel right into it. After reading just a few pages out of this book I think I would enjoy reading a lot of other books written by Sarah Dessen. I feel angry that Auden's dad would not help Heidi with the baby when she was obviously struggling with helping Thisbe calm down and stop crying. He just sits in his office all day and doesn't bother about going to see if Heidi needs help. Auden was the first one to go give Heidi a break and let her get some sleep.

Book
The book i chose was matched i choose the book because it looked interesting and the way the libarian explained it to me made me want to read it. what i predict will happen is two people will get matched up and live happily ever after
Along for the Ride
The book that I chose is called Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. I chose this book because I have heard from many people that they liked Sarah Dessen's books because how good they were and I had not read any of her books before and the cover to this book looked interesting. Auden's parents divorced and she lives with her dad and his new family near a beach. Where she finally gets a job at a clothes boutique when she was first introduced to what the world of girls is like: the talking that goes on between girls, friendships, and crushes. She had missed out on this stuff in the past due to her demanding mother.
